Access Home Lending (“Access Home Lending,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides reverse mortgage and related lending services including Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (“HECMs”)  insured by the Federal Housing Administration (“FHA”) and regulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”). We are committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of nonpublic personal information (“NPI”) in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”), Regulation P (12 C.F.R. Part 1016), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), and, where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”).

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information.

We collect NPI about you from the following sources:

2. Permitted Uses of Information

  • Comply with HUD, FHA, and other federal and state regulatory requirements

  • Report to credit bureaus as required under FCRA

  • Conduct quality control, audits, and risk management

  • Communicate with you regarding your application, loan, or servicing

  • We do not use your NPI for purposes that are not permitted by law without providing required notices and opt-out rights.

3. Disclosure of Information

We may disclose your NPI only as permitted or required by law, including:

a. Service Providers and Contractors

  • Third parties that perform services on our behalf (e.g., loan processing, underwriting, document preparation, servicing, data hosting). These parties are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and safeguard information.

b. Financial Institutions and Secondary Market Participants

  • Investors, warehouse lenders, and entities involved in loan sale, securitization, or servicing transfers.

c. Government and Regulatory Authorities

  • HUD, FHA, state regulators, and other agencies as required for compliance, reporting, or examination.

d. Consumer Reporting Agencies

  • As permitted under FCRA.

e. Legal and Compliance Disclosures

  • When required by subpoena, court order, or applicable law, or to protect against fraud, unauthorized transactions, or legal liability.

We do not sell your nonpublic personal information.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA):

Subject to verification, you may have the right to:

  • Request deletion of certain personal information

  • Request correction of inaccurate information

  • Limit use of sensitive personal information (where applicable)

  • Opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising (if applicable)

8. Reverse Mortgage-Specific Disclosures

For HECM loans:

  • Borrowers are required to complete independent HUD-approved counseling prior to application

  • We may share necessary information with HUD-approved counseling agencies to facilitate compliance

  • Loan data may be reported to HUD and FHA systems for insurance, servicing, and oversight purposes

9. Do Not Track Signals

Our website does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals due to the lack of a consistent industry standard.

10. SMS Privacy

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data can consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

11. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a child has submitted personal information without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.  

12. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective date. 

13. Notice to Customers (GLBA)

This Privacy Policy serves as our annual privacy notice under GLBA. We will provide updates as required by law if our information-sharing practices change.

Access Home Lending complies with applicable state and federal licensing requirements.
